Being a teacher is not an easy task. You always have to have patience, and you must understand that there are students that are not easy to teach. Some just don’t mind and will go their way, than listening how you do it. Teaching process is a very challenging part for teachers, it will always reflect on what kind of teacher you are, if your students can easily learn from you, or they will not come back if they are not satisfied.
- For teachers, they must show their students the parts of the bike and the proper way of riding cruisers and comfort bikes. You must let them see how you are going ride. Don’t ride fast, let them see that it’s easy to learn and ride, so they won’t get discourage. Remember that when you were still learning, it was not that easy for you to ride a bike.
- Choose a place that is best for your lesson. You can choose where there are no cars, or a grassy area. Make sure that when you teach, you won’t make your students feel nervous, just tell them to relax, and they are going to learn immediately, if they try to concentrate, and don’t get nervous.
- Teach how to start and stop the bike. Explain how the breaks work, and how they are going to use them. Hold the saddle and be at the back, so your student will know you won’t leave them. And plus they will gain confidence while they are riding cruisers and comfort bikes.
- Tell your student that if she is going to paddle quickly, she/he might lose balance. Tell him/her to take it easy.
- Tell your student to wear protective gear, so if they encounter falls, They won’t get accidents. Always guide your student, and tell him/her to do it all over again, so they will feel confident, and can ride bikes just like a pro.
